Dear Colleagues of the national networks,

We are looking for people from European cultural centres that can contribute practical experience and/or theoretical expertise to the main subjects of our Shortcut Europe meeting. On the list below you find the subjects. Can you propose someone or a project from your members that could contribute to these subjects. Travelling costs will be covered.

This year the Shortcut takes place in WARSAW, 16|17|18 NOVEMBER 2011.

Venue: IMKA THEATRE & CBA, ul. Konopnickiej 6, 00-491 Warszawa, Poland

The main topic of this year will be Culture (not) for all? You can find more information at the website of the conference and we’re keeping you up-to-date when program develops.

The main topic will be discussed during several panels. Our aim for this congress will be an open minded discussion about the following issues:

– The institutions and culture centres in the service of the system and against it;
– Culture creates development;
– Culture and art in a public space;
– Culture as a space of freedom and anarchy;
– Educational „orientate yourself!” In search of lost audience;
– Polish multiculturalism?;
– Culture networking.

Cultural Programme: The Congress itself (16-18 of November 2011) will be accompanied by actions and events which will take place in Warsaw during this week, and they will be creative development of the debate’s topics.

Organisers of the project: European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) and our partners in Warsaw / Poland
